Last night's fireworks crowd was reportedly smaller than usual, possibly due to the likelihood of thunderstorms around the 10PM showtime. No crowd estimates are out yet, though we do know that only 2,088 vehicles entered Belle Isle, which has the capacity for 3,300. The Freep reports a "quiet" evening, with only 77 minors detained for violating the 6PM curfew. WXYZ reports "curfew chaos" netted least 114 teens, but The News has the highest number at "nearly 150." All numbers are smaller than the 200 minors detained at last year's show.
