A Dozen More Boston-Edison Disasters Head to Auction

New, 12 comments

The Detroit Land Bank will take another swing through the Boston-Edison area later this month, with 12 houses hitting the auction block by early August. If last month's visit taught us anything, it's that Boston-Edison contains some incredible ruins.
For now, check out a few photos of 2254 Chicago, which goes up for bid August 3. The house was built in 1924 and comes with a delightful backyard surprise: your very own "historic water feature."

The 3,200-square-foot house comes with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, but all the crazy can be seen from the exterior. Out front, notice the atrium-like array of windows. That's a thing of historic beauty, and probably in need of tricky repair work.
Around back, the "historic water feature" has two sets of stairs. An old pool, perhaps? Take a look at the shape from Google Earth and tell us what you think.
