Campau Tower Prepares For Epic Return; Detroit City Distillery Starts Selling Booze At Last; More!

HamtramckYemans Street is a brand new pop up restaurant owned by a husband and wife duo, in the same vein as popular Hamtramck restaurant Revolver. They should be opening their doors for their first dinners in just a few weeks, and again like Revolver tickets will be purchased ahead of time online, and it will be BYOB.

BIRMINGHAM220 Restaurant has reopened under the ownership of Denise Illitch, and it's been getting plenty of buzz, including a visit (but not a review) from Sylvia Rector of the Free Press. The Michigan suburbs meets Miami feel is a hit with the hip Birmingham crowd, but service problems have left some guests anything but thrilled.

EASTERN MARKETDetroit City Distillery is opening its doors to the public for preview events this weekend. They're sold out, but are pairing local chefs like Dave Mancini of Supino and anticipated new restuarant La Rondinella with their bourbon, whiskey and vodka.

HAMTRAMCKCampau Tower is preparing for a triumphant return next week under the ownership of Nikita Santches of Rock City Eatery. The menu will be revamped, the space will be cleaned up, and it will be renamed "Campau Tower Hamburgers/The Americana Eatery".
