As predicted, the CARE building is now dunzo. It was an unsafe obstacle to redevelopment of the former Statler Hotel Site. A tipster emailed in these photos mere moments ago. You may also know it as the former AAA building, which had been damaged in the demolition of the Hotel Statler almost ten years ago. The Statler redevelopment plans are not firm, but we were told they involve an 118-room boutique hotel of the Joie de Vivre brand, a high rise residential complex, and a parking garage.
UPDATE 11:25 They are making quick work of this one. Curbed photographers Michelle and Chris Gerard just got back from the site.
