Developers are damned if they do and damned if they don't, there is no winning for them. This is the price of progress. We decried developers because our downtown was dead and now we decry them because they are raising rents! Redeveloping these old buildings are not cheap. There is a lot of capital expenditures that need to go in to these structures and the only way to support this type of growth is through rental increases.
