The Brentwood building, which seemingly finished renovations a year ago, finally earned its certificate of occupancy in July, bringing 38 one-bedroom rental apartments on the market. So basically now a bunch more students can live next to the Bronx Bar and pay Detroit 2.0 rates for the privilege. The rent is $800-900 per unit and does not include parking, which can be obtained for a monthly fee from several local lots. The layout is ideal for people that find that the coziest place to work is a desk between two closets, at least in this furnished unit pictured. All of the apartments are one-bedrooms with hardwood floors; the smaller ones start at 450 square feet. There is laundry and bike storage on the ground level. Since the building became available two weeks ago many units have already been filled. Email Michael at Center City Detroit if you would like one of the remaining ones.
