Detroit's mini attempt at public transit, the M1 Rail line, is now under construction. The work began in July, starting with downtown, and will progress north towards midtown, before continuing on to 8 Mile. Here's what it looked like this week, as streets were torn up to make way. The 3.3-mile streetcar system is supposed to be running by 2016. Got a shot of the action you want to share with Curbed? Tweet it to us at @CurbedDetroit.
