Redevelopment of The Capitol Park Building on Griswold, one of three Capitol Park buildings being renovated by Karp and Associates LLC, has barely begun but things are moving forward. Earlier this week we took a quick tour of the current state of the building, which should become retail/office space and 63 apartments. The first floor will be leased to a restaurant. Right now most of the work is focused on the exterior where the entire west façade of bricks has been peeled off to avoid hazard (i.e. a light brick rain shower). Construction on the interior is expected to start in November.
