Moroun Reps Still Making Same False Promises on Train Station

New, 18 comments

Council person Saunteel Jenkins said it best when she told the Freep, "that's a pledge that I've heard multiple times," in response to a Moroun family representative claiming that Michigan Central Station will get an $80M makeover. Listen guys, the Morouns do not care about building. As the owners of the Ambassador Bridge they care about trade routes to Canada. The only reason they own Michigan Central station is because it allows them to control the land around the rail tunnel to Canada that goes under the river and lands in Windsor. The US entrance is south of Porter and Vermont streets near Rosa Parks Boulevard.
