Today a press release landed in our inbox announcing that Jolly Pumpkin will open a beer drinking location on the same block as Shinola. We're not sure which storefront they are taking but here are photos of the two left at 441 Canfield, which was named as the JP address. The 5,000 square foot space will join a block already starting to look like a tourist retail theme park, thanks to Shinola and Willys Detroit. A Fellow Barber location is also planned for this block. The Jolly Pumpkin will open in early 2015.
This location does not appear to be a brewery, but it will serve all the craft beers, distilled spirits and wines available through the Northern United Brewing Company brand, which owns Jolly Pumpkin. There will also be pub fare.
