The current most expensive listing in the villages, this $800K house, is messy and in need of repairs. But the second most expensive listing is absolutely lovely, if still a bit overpriced at $525,000. It is 4,800 square feet with six bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two half bathrooms and it even includes a pool. It's one of the best modern-meets-traditional renovations we've seen in a very long time. The current owners clearly put a lot into the rehab. Is is possible to turn a little profit on that? Detroit is not known to reward those with taste. Good luck to them.
Keep in mind the most expensive successful sale in Indian Village from the last two years was this 9,300 square foot home for $485,000. It sold to the President of Shinola, who is doing a gut renovation. This contender at $525,000 seemingly needs no work, so it is poised to bust a new sales record. Anything above a half Mil would be impressive.
