A Boston-Edison fixer upper auctioned off by the Land Bank drew 112 bids which brought the final bidding price up to $73,100. What got would-be homeowners so excited? The 3,000 square foot home certainly is not move-in ready, but the historic details were well preserved. The five-bedroom, four-bathroom has dark wood paneling and ceiling beams, brick fireplaces on the first and second floors, nice staircase detailing, high ceilings, and built-in cabinets. The auction ended August 4 but Land Bank properties take a while to close.
