Carhartt, the Detroit-born manufacturer of durable workwear, has announced plans to return home. The company will open its first Michigan retail location in a three-story building in Midtown, right at the corner of Cass and I-94 next to Tony V's Tavern.
Built in the 1920s, Carhartt's future building hasn't shown any outward signs of life for years. Thankfully, it looks like Carhartt plans to paint its own logo on the building's graffiti-marred wall facing the freeway. Expect to be shopping by June.
