Nicole Curtis Announces Open House at Ransom Gillis

HGTV star and host of the Rehab Addict Nicole Curtis announced an open house for her current Detroit project, Ransom Gillis House. The open house will take place on Nov 1. Curtis and her team have been restoring the 1876 Brush Park mansion since June, with financial support from Dan Gilbert's Quicken Loans. While we haven't been inside since a media tour in August, we've stalked the house, just as many in metro Detroit have taken to doing, which netted some good photographs, and a 10 pm chat with Curtis about the wisdom of pretending to scale her fence.

Curtis made the announcement as part of a Facebook post showing a very beautiful new fireplace at the house. There are the details, taken directly from from her post:

ALL ages welcome—we have two lines 1. For those that can't physically wait in long lines 2. All others who are blessed with good health . Now, don't argue this with me—if you are my grandparents' generation I also pull you to the front even if you are stronger than me just outta respect. Small children who love old houses, but think lines are yucky generally get to the front via me also. Bring shoes that are easy to get off unless, you fall into the category of anything above. We've followed this story all along. Take a look at the place before, during and (even later) during renovation. Not to fret—we'll have a massive gallery of the revealed home just as soon as we can get in, um, without climbing a chainlink fence in the night.
