Orleans Landing, the mixed-use development that'll bring 278 new residential units and retail to the city's riverfront, is finally moving right along. Announced in 2013, the $60M project has experienced some setbacks, including delaying its groundbreaking almost two years. Shoot forward to two months ago and everyone who's anyone showed up for the project's groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony wasn't just for show—the above photos are from the project site. There are piles of wood and cranes and big holes and, is that a legit building we spot, y'all?
