Inside the Most Expensive Rental Available in Detroit

New, 23 comments

$8,000 a month. That's how expensive this two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bathroom apartment is asking in Detroit. According to Zumper's latest National Rent Report, the median rent for a two-bedroom unit is currently $650 month, which is less 15 percent of this unit. If there is anything that can justify the price of Detroit's most expensive rental on the market, it has to be that it's steps away from the M1 Rail and numerous retail and restaurant options. Other pluses include the hardwood flooring throughout, exposed brick, beamed ceilings, and a size that totals a whopping 38,820-square-feet. The oddest feature has to be the mural of Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam" next to the kitchen. Talk about random. The kitchen is also in an odd circular shape with the counters curving around. Readers, what do you think of it, though? Is it way too pricey? Does it need a major price chop?
