For decades, Carrado Parducci was like an architectural tattoo artist for the buildings of Detroit. He sculpted elaborate layers of texture on some of the region's most celebrated landmarks, including the Guardian and David Stott buildings. He's even responsible for Rackham Fountain (the bear fountain) at the Detroit Zoo. Paducci's contributions are often overlooked (especially since he worked with some big names), but an effort is underway to give him the recognition he deserves. [Detroit News]
