Built from the remains of the Globe Trade Building, the Outdoor Adventure Center hasn't exactly sprinted to the finish line. It took ten months of construction to rebuild a wobbly, 19th-century brick pile into a usable building. Ten months after that, we're finally getting a first peek inside the 50,000-square-foot wonderland of outdoorsy exhibits, which is now aiming for a late summer debut. The OAC is meant to teach kids about all the outdoor activities Michigan has to offer, and the complete floor plans can be view on the Michigan DNR's website.
