The State Savings Bank endured a rough few years under APOP, but a new photo from HistoricDetroit.org shows a promising interior. Dan Gilbert purchased/rescued the building in December, shortly after Curbed reported that the interior seemed to be experiencing heavy water damage. No official word on Gilbert's plan for the 115-year-old building, though rumors have said it could become a Detroit-centric auto attraction of some sort.
