Restaurant(s) & Condos Coming to Ye Olde Butcher Building

New, 9 comments

The building once home to Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe has sold, reports Crain's, and big changes are afoot. The new ownership, American Community Developers, has declared that YOBS' olde spotte will be converted into restaurant space, while the Crystal Lofts upstairs will be sold off as condos.

Although they have no committed restauranteur yet, the ownership teases that a restaurant could open in the YOBS space by this summer. We're giving that about a 2% chance of actually happening, but there's another little hint that's intriguing. Apparently, the space could be divvied into "more than one" restaurant, which makes total sense for a 8,000-square-foot space. Keep an eye out.

As for the Crystal Lofts, they'll cease being rentable apartments and covert into condos. ACD adds that all current leases will be honored, though two of the seventeen units have already sold in the last 30 days.
