Decaying Corktown Townhouses Reunite, Demand $80K

New, 18 comments

Remember these crumbly brick townhouses in Corktown? The unit on the left was on the market by itself in 2013, with a lonely asking price of just $15K.The two sides have since been reunited, and today stormed the market together asking $80K. Might their location just off Michigan Avenue lure a restoration-minded buyer? The townhouses are said to have been built in 1900, both containing two bedrooms and approximately 2,000 square feet. The left side has reportedly been abandoned for well over a decade, but details on the other unit are unclear. Chances are good that its interior is similarly destroyed.
