Orleans Landing Might Actually Build Something Soon

New, 30 comments

Orleans Landing, where art thou? Announced in 2013, the planned $60M housing bonanza originally promised to break ground last fall, with initial tenants moving in this summer. Perhaps we're pessimists, but an empty field in March is not going to blossom into a habitable apartment building by July.
That being said, it sounds like Orleans could come to life any day now. Contractor bidding documents posted in February call for work to begin in mid-March, with an overall ETA of December 2016. Last we heard, Orleans Landing was to build about 270 apartments with a dash of retail space, all right next to the Dequindre Cut. Please find us on the tipline if you spot anything.
