Just south of Mexicantown in the Hubbard-Richard neighborhood, the tiniest live-work situation imaginable just hit the market asking $89,500. It's a two-bedroom, 1.5-story house with a storefront riding sidecar. A 2014 Free Press article explains that the storefront was home to Sweet D's, a penny candy store opened in 2013 after the owners saved the structure from demo.
Records show the house was built in 1890, while the tiny storefront was added few decades later as a shoe repair shop. The current condition of the house and the status of Sweet D's are both unclear today, as the listing supplies almost no info and we weren't immediately able to reach the realtor. Please find us on the tipline with any candy/intel.
