The Brits are officially back in the Motor City. Virgin Atlantic, the first British carrier to fly to Detroit since British Airways pulled out in 2008, is now soaring daily between Detroit Metropolitan Airport and London Heathrow. Formerly, Delta was the sole provider of non-stop service between Michigan and the British capital. While departure and arrival times will differ by a few hours, fares will be be identical thanks to a partnership between the two carriers.—Leslie Youngblood
