Milwaukee Junction real estate isn't on fire yet, but the old industrial district is definitely throwing off sparks. Later this month, the historic warehouse "showered by a liquid rainbow" (The Illuminated Mural by Katie Craig) goes up for bid on Auction.com starting at $550k.
The mural dates back to 2009, but the building itself opened in 1913 as a "fireproof" storage facility. The listing claims Albert Kahn was the architect and hopes you'll see building's "unlimited" potential for a loft conversion. Is that assuming the buyer would carve out more windows? You'll end up with some pretty gloomy lofts otherwise.
