Park Shelton Residents Host Lobby "Yard" Sale

New, 4 comments

While the items shown in a sale preview on the event's Facebook page are nothing special—reproduction posters! Crafty jewelry! Etageres!—the lobby sale's organizer, commercial tenant and proprietor of the Peacock Room Rachel Lutz, promises everything a thrifter's greedy little heart could desire: antiques, household items, books, records, and "historical goodies," whatever those might be.

The sale starts at 10 am (absolutely NO early admission, per the event site), and meters are free on Sunday. Whether you walk away with a genuine treasure, or simply use the opportunity to explore the lavish entryway to a classic Detroit building, it seems like a good way to stay out of the heat. While you're there, you can always pick up a brand new condo. They have at least seven units on the market to chose from.
