When this house listed just last month at $320K, we were impressed with many of its fine features. The stone fireplace, original icebox, mahogany paneling, and original chandeliers made sense in a house straight out of 1912. The house next door is in far rougher shape, though, and the two homes share a driveway. The kitchen appliances also need updating if you're looking to sell in the $300K range. These days, the house is asking just $295K. While other houses on the street aren't at this level, that price cut may make this home too good for the right buyer to pass up.
The move to $295K seems wise, given the shared drive and other concerns. Having the prettiest house on the block has a little cachet, though the condition of the block matters, especially in Detroit.
