One great feature of Detroit Design Festival, Under the Cut, brought five large-scale art installations to the Dequindre Cut Greenway this weekend. Working with the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, Under the Cut's installations used the idea of "play" as the theme. They went up last weekend, but remain in place through Oct. 10 in the Dequindre Cut, so you can still enjoy a lingering bit of Design Fest. Curbed was there for the big reveal, and our exclusive photographs of the installations show innovative pieces that just beg visitors to interact with them.
The installations include Pulsar Party by Anya Sirota and Jean Louis Farges, Lazermaze by British firm George King Architects, Swing Dequindre by LAAVU, Drop Kick Push Pull by U. Sean Vance (Ann Arbor), and Wild Aesthetic by Sean Hages.
