A week after its grand opening (complete with sledgehammers), Curbed has exclusive photographs of Carhartt's new flagship shop on Cass Ave. The Michigan-born company offers a full line of work clothes and accessories for men, women and kids, not to mention dogs. The shop is open seven days a week for your construction/heavy duty clothing needs.
Carhartt's new store re-imagines a building that once housed the HQ of Cass Motor Sales, a structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Carhartt's flagship takes up all 51,000-square feet of space on the first floor. The new space incorporates the building's original façade, keeping a bit of the old character. The retail floor seems intimate, though the space is vast, because there are separate areas devoted to different styles of clothing or accessories.
