Price for Rehab Rising in Boston Edison

New, 14 comments

A new listing in Boston Edison may look familiar to readers...very familiar. This four bedroom, five bathroom home with a screened-in porch and carriage house was sold last year for $25K and is now asking $43K. The listing uses the same pictures from the last sale. Hmmm... From what we're seeing, this could still be a great rehab project from the right person. The carriage house needs a lot of work (A LOT), but could provide great income in the future. We're hoping the owner has done work on the inside of the main house, but the pictures aren't showing us.

Built in 1916, this was the home of Frank H. Alfred, "president of Pere Marquette RR and superintendant of Detroit Schools." (in case anyone asks).
