Bedrock Real Estate purchased three more buildings downtown yesterday. The Ferguson, D.J. Healy, and Beck Buildings, located on Woodward between John R. and Grand River, currently house 61 apartments as the Lofts at Woodward.
The properties also feature ground level retail space and a parking lot located behind the buildings on Farmer.
This brings Bedrock's holdings downtown to over 80 buildings.
Bedrock purchased these three buildings from Southfield's Farbman Group. The plan is to keep the residential spaces and add retail. These buildings are located right along the M-1 rail line.
Built from 1896-1905, these three buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places.
Last week, Bedrock purchased Corktown Lofts on Fort Street, comprised of three buildings and two parking lots. These properties are located closer to Gilbert's Quicken Loans Technology Center on Rosa Parks, outside of his normal downtown locales.
