Olympia Development release new pictures inside and outside the Little Caesars Arena this week. Scheduled to open September 2017, it’s looking more and more like an actual arena every day. Driving past the construction site, you can see the arena start to be enclosed, parking structures in the back, and a few stories going up on Woodward.

Here are a few more details on the new features of the Little Caesars Arena.

  • Concrete has been poured for the giant outdoor plaza where fans can watch the game outside the arena on a big video wall. When there’s not a game, the plaza will show music and entertainment. It’s meant to be a unique urban community space.
  • The Via concourse is also taking shape, which will have indoor shopping and dining on game days and non-game days. The framework for the jewel skin that wraps around the Via has been hung. Steel and concrete for the restaurants, shops, and office spaces which line the Via are also now highly visible from Woodward Avenue.
  • Gondola seating on the east and west sides of the arena bowl have been hung, so some brave fans can watch the game from above.
  • There’s also a live cam of the progress, so those interested can check in anytime.
