Last winter, Curbed was able to tour one of the most incredible homes in the city - the Charles T. Fisher Mansion. It’s getting all decked out for the holidays and will be open for 17 tours during December. The home, built in 1922 by architect George D. Mason, is a private residence, but sometimes hosts large parties and private events. This tour gives guests the opportunity to learn about both the history of the home and the ongoing restoration process.
Tours will run December 8-30 at 6pm, with no tours on the 24th & 25th. Tickets are $50 and some proceeds will benefit the Boston Edison Neighborhood Association. No photography, sorry! You can always enjoy our pics!
Want to see more? Boston Edison will have two holiday home tours. The first is the Twilight tour, which starts at 4pm December 10. It starts with a buffet dinner, then will have a chartered bus going to six homes. The cost for this one is $75. There’s another tour December 11 during the day that features five homes and costs $40. Tickets and more info can be found here.
Indian Village will also have their Holiday Home Tour Sunday, December 4. Tickets are $40 and the tour will feature five homes. A VIP gala will be held that Friday, December 2 with a motorcoach tour of the homes. Tickets run $100 for that tour. More info can be found here.
