New lofts, retail space planned for Milwaukee Junction

As we patiently wait for the M-1 rail to start running, we’re keeping an eye on developments that could be impacted by its proximity. One of these areas is Milwaukee Junction, which has some unique office, maker, and residential space between the North End and the Art Center.

The Milwaukee Lofts, located just off East Grand Boulevard, will consist of a 10,000-square-foot building converted into four lofts, street level retail, and a whiskey bar, according to a release from TerraNovus Development.

The lofts will range in size from 900-2,500 square feet, with prices starting in the mid-200Ks. TerraNovus Development says the lofts will be customizable for the buyers. Full construction is expected to start in late winter/spring, and the listings and web site will go live in a few weeks.

The area is just a few blocks off of Woodward, near the Baltimore Gallery and the Tangent Gallery & Hastings Street Ballroom.
