A few months ago, we showed you an idyllic co-op community in Lafayette Park called Chateaufort Place. The Mies van der Rohe units certainly get plenty of attention in Lafayette Park, but we kind of love this little hidden gem. The co-op we featured had been renovated by its previous owners and it sold for $285,000. This one has more of a retro feel and could certainly use some updates. It’s listing for $224,900.
This co-op is 1,500 square feet, with three bedrooms, two and a half baths, a galley kitchen, and a full wood paneled retro bar in the basement. We can see some renovations in the future, but we hope that bar stays fairly in tact. These units have lots of windows and natural light, and this unit is located right in between Lafayette Park and the Dequindre Cut. HOA fees are $723 per month and include property taxes, water, grounds maintenance, snow removal, building repairs, property management, trash pick-up, and security. It’s being sold through Saverio Montalto at Max Broock Realtors.
