A few months ago, we told you that the popular and long-running show This Old House was finally making its way to Detroit to cover a home renovation in Russell Woods. Finally! We have so many old homes! We’ve learned that another house is being included this season.

This house is in the Crary-St. Mary’s neighborhood and it’s part of the Rehabbed & Ready program through the Detroit Land Bank. And from the looks of it above, yes, it needs some work. It’s been empty for over ten years.

When This Old House first toured the property, the building was filled with discarded belongings and refuse. Anything of value such as copper pipes and wires were gone. In about four months, a team of Detroit-based contractors gutted the house and installed all new plumbing, wiring, and mechanicals, with a new kitchen, two bathrooms, and landscaping to finish the job. The house will go on the market in early 2017.

Both this house and the house in Russell Woods will air in the show’s 37th season, which will start on PBS on March 30.
