We know that every house has a story, and some stories make the news. From the listing, this beautiful house in Russell Woods looks like it’s one project after another - which it is. But we know that at least one big project has been taken care of.
This house was bought about a year and a half ago by a couple that moved to the area and wanted to fix it up. They bought it sight unseen and asked a contractor to secure the pool and backyard. They were told the pool had been filled with debris by a contractor because it had been deemed unsafe by the city. Oops. Doesn’t make for a great house warming gift. You can see the whole story here.

The house is back on the market now, and has changed hands a few times in the past few years. And yes, it’s a lot of work. It’s just over 3,000 square feet, with five bedrooms, three and a half baths, and a creepy basement. But there’s definitely a lot of potential here. It’s certainly a grand home and we hope a new owner can bring it back to its original beauty and enjoy that pool once again.
It’s listing for $69,900. It last sold for $48,000. But hey, there’s a pool now, which was retiled and replastered since.
