Detroit Rent Comparisons: What $800 can rent you right now

A cute one bedroom at The Josephine is available

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals around the city within $100 of today's price: $800.

Our first stop on our tour of rentals around the city takes us to Glynn Court, which is one street up from Boston-Edison. The Josephine has a rare opportunity to rent right now, with a one bedroom, one bath flat available for $750/month. With a $250 one-time fee, you get wi-fi, laundry, and heat. Not bad!

Here’s a one bedroom available in Midtown. We don’t know much about it, but we haven’t seen too many rentals in Midtown under $1,000 lately, and it’s close to Wayne State. It’s listing for $875 - utilities included.

There’s also an apartment available in the Parkhurst in West Village. It has hardwood floors, allows cats, and has a $50 flat utility fee. It’s located near shops and restaurants in the Villages, and it’s biking distance to Belle Isle. It’s listing for $875/month.

Or you could snag a garden level flat in New Center. It has two bedrooms, one bath, and it’s walking distance to the Fisher Building. It’s listing for $875/month, and pets are OK.

**Update: We took the Brush Park listing out just to be safe. Almost too good to be true.**
