This new listing in Woodbridge features two units and a very honest description from the seller. This 1890, 3,250-square-foot brick two-family house went through a renovation ten years ago, to which the listing says, "Interior was full gut renovated in mid-2000s, so electrical wiring and plumbing are fully updated, not much historic charm left." If we were to try to market this, and actually sell it, we might call it a blank slate. But you can be the judge. FYI, the listing also claims, "The photographer made the pictures look better than current condition."
There's a lot of white in this house, that's for sure, along with a neutral medium-toned wood for the trim and kitchen cupboards. No worries, though! There's plenty of exposed brick to show off its age. One of the units has a pretty fireplace framed in...white. The bathrooms look quite small, but the living spaces are all quite open. The lower unit has two bedrooms, one bath, a washer and dryer, and rents for $675 per month. The upper two-level unit has two bedrooms, a master suite, and two bathrooms. Both units have rear decks that need work. The roof also needs repair, along with some interior work.
The location is good, though, especially for a rental property. Near the corner of Trumbull and Grand River, you're close to Midtown, Downtown, and Wayne State. But from the descriptions in the listing, we're not sure if the buyer is all that motivated.
