University District Tudor with Modern Finishes, Original Detail Asks $265K

New, 9 comments

This 3,200-square-foot house in the University District has all the modern upgrades house hunters would want: granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, newly tiled bathrooms with bowl sinks. But it also features classic built-ins, tiling, and paneling we see in many of these historic homes. It's an interesting dichotomy, and one we're likely to see as more homes get renovated in these neighborhoods. The cozy kitchen does have all new appliances, a green tiled backsplash, and white cupboards. with a small island in the middle. From the pictures, the space seems a little tight for a house this big. Compare that newly renovated space to the wood-paneled den/office, with built-in bookshelves. It's quite a shift. The living room has a beautifully tiled fireplace with a simple white mantle. The bathrooms also have newer tiling and fixtures. The staircase features a large window on the landing with charming built-ins on each side. This house also has a balcony, garage, and decent-sized back yard.
