Detroit Rent Comparisons: What $800 Gets You Right Now

From West Village to Woodbridge to Palmer Park, here's what $800 rent gets you right now

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. We're looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $800.

First up is this multi-unit house in West Village for $850+ (two units available). These apartments have 2-3 bedrooms, hardwood floors, decent appliances, allow cats, and are walking distance from shops and restaurants.

Coming in next at $800 a month is this townhouse in Woodbridge. This three bedroom, 1.5 bathroom townhouse has a lot of space (2,734 square feet) and gets you close to Wayne State, Midtown, and Corktown.

In Midtown, you can get a 450-square-foot studio for $795 a month. This apartment allows cats and small dogs, has newer finishes, and puts you within walking distance from restaurants, bars, and Wayne State.

Out on Pembroke near 8 Mile, you can get a three bedroom, one and a half bath single family home with a garage and basement for $750 a month. The bathroom has a certain jungle-like decor, and you're close to Meijer, Palmer Park, and 7 Mile & Livernois!

For $735, you can live in the Palmer Park Square apartments. These have new finishes on the inside and beautiful architectural features on the outside. There are six buildings to choose from that have been recently remodeled.
