Curbed Comparisons: What $900 Rents You in Detroit

From the Riverfront to Bagley, here's our latest installment of Curbed Comparisons

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. We're looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $900.

We'll start on the RiverFront, with this 650-square-foot, one bedroom, one bath apartment at the Manchester Apartments for $800. It has views and allows both cats and dogs. It's close to downtown and it's easy to hop on the bike path from here.

Next we'll go to the Forest Arms Apartments, ready to open again on May 1 (more on that very soon). They'll have one bedroom, one bath apartments starting at $900 and they're located very close to Wayne State in Midtown.

For $985, you can rent this updated 1,150-square-foot townhouse on Atkinson, just outside of the Boston Edison district. It has very shiny floors, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and it's pet friendly.

This three bedroom house in Bagley will run you $800 a month. It has over 2,000-square-feet, hardwood floors, a lot of weird features like that bar, and a whole lot of curb appeal.

It's a wood-paneled bar kind of day. Over in Martin Park, you can get a 1,400-square-foot, three bedroom house for $1,000 a month. This has interesting hardwood floors, a two-car garage, and is located near UDM.
