Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. We're upping the ante this week and looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $1,500.
We'll start right at $1,500 in the North End with this 2,100-square-foot, four bedroom house. It was just redone, it has a backyard and three parking spaces, and allows pets.
Next we'll head over to New Center for a one bedroom at the Graphic Arts Lofts. This 800-square-foot loft has beautiful windows and not-so-beautiful concrete* column in the bedroom. It does allow cats and it's close to CCS and TechTown. It's going for $1,410/month.
In Midtown, you can get the top floor of this house for $1,400 a month. It has two bedrooms in 1,000 square feet. It has a big front porch, a backyard, and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
For $1,600, you can get 9th floor views of the Thanksgiving Day Parade downtown. This 807-square-foot apartment comes furnished and includes everything in rent, like utilities, parking, and valet(!). Pets are OK here, too.
In West Village, you can get a newly renovated three bedroom, two bath unit for $1,415. New kitchen, off street parking, but no pets.
