A new comic book store opens in Downtown Detroit today. The Vault of Midnight, which has locations in Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids, is opening at 1226 Library Street in the Z Lot retail space.
"We love everything about our new location, " says co-owner Nick Yribar. "We have a great mix of neighbors; retail, restaurants, even a yoga studio right next door. And we have the perfect view from our stoop of the amazing things happening in Detroit right now. Like our other shops, we hope that our Library Street home will help make us visible to everybody, especially folks that don't already read comics and might be curious about the medium. Everybody already likes comics, whether they know it or not."

Vault of Midnight’s new location will have a distinct look, feel, and design with a glass window façade and custom shelving and fixtures by Michigan firms Cantelon Finishers and By The River Carpentry. The shop will have access to high-speed internet through Rocket Fiber. It will sell comic books, games, action figures, and graphic novels.
It opens today, Monday May 2, with a Grand Opening Celebration and juts in time for Free Comic Book Day Saturday, May 7. Its hours are M-Sat 10-10 and Sunday 11-8. Have a look inside!
