We were asked to update on the Houze situation, and we're here with some answers. If you remember, the buildings are being developed by Barbat Holdings, LLC, who can be blamed for the spelling.
First up, Regis Houze Apartments has recently opened and now only has a few units left. Much like we reported last fall, they are smaller units for the worker bees, but cool history of the building and good New Center location.
The next building, Briggs Houze at 114 W Adams, is currently pre-leasing. They're having an open house (houze?) on Saturday, May 7th 10-4 if you want to check out the space. And their site boasts that the building is 634 steps to Comerica Park - woo! We last updated this a while back, and here's the latest snapshot we have of the building.
These units run from a smaller 435-square-foot (!) apartment at $870 to an 18th floor 1,330-square-foot apartment for $2,993/month. Yeah, we might have to check that out this weekend.
Next down the line is Gabriel Houze at 1055-1075 Washington Blvd., which if you drive past, you'll see the big banner on it. On their Facebook page, they say that they should be done Winter 2016.
And Philip Houze at 415 Clifford (which we last had as a downtown building that someone could buy), looks to be on its way to opening Spring 2017.
And that's your houzing update for the day.
