Curbed Comparisons: What $1,100 Will Rent You in Detroit

Studio? House? We've got you covered.

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we're looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $1,100.

Right in the heart of Midtown and right on Woodward is a 620-square-foot studio. It's walkable to Wayne State, shops, and restaurants and will be right along the M-1 rail. It's available in August and listed for $1,150 per month with gated parking an extra $40 per month.

Out in East English Village, you can get a three bedroom, 1,330-square-foot house for $1,100 per month. It's recently renovated with refurbished wood floors and interesting tile work in the bathroom.

For $1,149 you can get a one-bedroom, 830-square-foot apartment at Lafayette Towers. The towers have a pool and are located near Greektown, downtown, and the RiverFront.

In Downtown Detroit, you can get 860 square feet at the Claridge for $1,050 per month. It's not much to look at inside, but you get a decent sized closet and bathroom and you're close to everything downtown.

Out near Tech Town, you can get a one-bedroom in a renovated home for $1,000 per month. It's close to CCS, Wayne State, and Henry Ford Hospital.
