114-Year-Old Indian Village Mansion Asks $650K

New, 1 comment

9 bedrooms!

We last visited this Iroquois Street mansion five years ago when it was last on the market. It sold for $275,000 that go around. Detroit’s market is just a little different now, and this 6,300-square foot mansion is now listed for $649,900.

Admittedly, this is much better than the $650K monstrosity that listed last week in Indian Village, which is now off the market (maybe to think about what it’s done). Built in 1912 and designed by William B. Stratton, this nine bedroom, five and a half bath home is in pretty good condition. It has five Pewabic fireplaces (nice!) and a lovely solarium. It does have an awkward kitchen, but also a butler’s pantry with ample storage. Wait, nine bedrooms? So it’s good for a big family. It also has a spacious, private backyard. Take a look.
