The Valpey building, located at 1247 Woodward Avenue, just completed a $10 million renovation, turning the building into what is now known as The Lofts of Merchants Row, reported Daily Detroit. This Downtown building features retail space and 42 pre-leased residential units. These units range from 630 square feet to 1,000 square feet and from studios to one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms.
The building first opened in 1896 and was designed by Donaldson and Meier, according to Curbed. In the video below, you will be able to hear from Brian Rebain of Kraemer Design Group who speaks about the renovation process.
