Welcome to Friday Open Threads, wherein we'll pass the mic to readers to speak up about topics of interest, distress, horror, etc. Have something you want discussed? Let us know. This week’s topic: We need retail!
We got all excited yesterday with the thought of a small Target possibly opening in Midtown. While this is certainly a start, Detroiters need more basic needs and mid-level shopping within the city.
So what do you think? What kind of retail could help the city? And although there’s certainly a concentration of the population in Midtown/Downtown, other neighborhoods need retail just as much, if not more. So where might some good locations be for retailers moving into the city? Let us know in the comments!
