101-Year-Old Boston Edison Home Asks for Only $225K

Be a part of a historic neighborhood

We’ve seen quite a few houses for sale in Boston Edison this year. We’ve seen complete fixer uppers list for $100K, and beautiful, seemingly perfect homes sell for $240K. This new one today is quite reasonable. This brick house, built in 1915, is 3,600 square feet and listing for $225,000.

It has five bedrooms, two and a half baths (one with some vintage tiling), a balcony off one of the bedrooms, a library with built-ins, and an all-seasons room. From the listing, it looks like the attic and basement are unfinished, which could be potential projects for the new owners. The kitchen has recently been remodeled and is much more open than some of the old kitchens we see in these homes. It also has a big garage and a decent-sized yard. This could be a good price for a move-in ready home in a historic neighborhood.
